About Andrew Easterday

Candidate for Twin Falls County Sheriff

It is a privilege to be in the running as a candidate for sheriff of Twin Falls County. When I am on patrol as an officer, my first instinct is to act from a position of understanding, empathy, and integrity. If given the opportunity to serve my community as sheriff, it is these qualities I will utilize to ensure that I am serving in my elected position in a way that benefits our community on every level.

The last 13 years of my life have been proudly spent in public service to our local communities through numerous positions. In 2011 I became a volunteer firefighter with the Buhl Fire Department, while also facilitating the full-time operation of our family-owned business. I spent 4 years with the Buhl Fire Department, and in 2015, I decided to pursue a long-time passion of mine and became a police officer.

I was fortunate enough to be able to divide my time between these two facets of service to the community up until 2022 when I dedicated myself full-time to the City of Filer as a patrol officer. I hold myself to a high standard and have pursued furthering education opportunities with the department at every opportunity. I hold certifications in recognizing/understanding controlled substances on the highway (Operation R.U.S.H.), active shooter training (AAIR), and advanced roadside impaired driving (ARIDE).

About My Mission

Supporting Twin Falls’ Deputies & Communities

As an active-duty officer in a community that is growing at a fast pace, I see firsthand the need for our abilities to grow to match the expansions taking place in our region. I firmly believe that a holistic approach is critical for the continued vitality and safety of our community. As Sheriff, this would involve: strategic utilization of the various talents in all departments, the prioritization of resources to continue to ensure our citizens’ safety and well-being, and building on the strengths that so many community members and entities contribute to on a daily basis.
